The food is delicious and they serve big servings. You leave with a full satisfied belly! The service was great! The restaurant is just like an old diner.

The crab bisque was divine! The mesquite grilled Salmon and red fish on the half shell were over the top. The raw Oysters were fresh and tasty. The crab cake was good as well! Our waitress Shelly was the bomb, personable, helpful, informative!

This is a solid Texas seafood diner with a fun, quirky vibe--it's built inside an old Amtrak train carriage and decorated with fisherman and captain-themed decor. The portions here are HUGE, and while the prices are a little high for the area, they reflect the quality and quantity of the food. The service is friendly and efficient, which adds to the experience. What to Order: The Campechana is a must-try. It's like ceviche, loaded with shrimp, crab, tomatoes, and avocado--easily enough to feed four people. The grilled oysters are another highlight, perfectly topped with lemon, butter, and Parmesan. The catfish entrée was super moist and flavorful. The seafood gumbo had great taste but was lukewarm when it came out. The fried green tomatoes were also just okay--the oil seemed a little old, and they could've been hotter and crispier. Overall: This place is a fun, unique spot to load up on seafood, especially if you're visiting Houston. It's maybe not worth a long drive, but if you're nearby, it's definitely worth checking out!

I first started dining at Goode Company seafood about 35 years ago.. We moved back to Houston recently and we are happy to return to an old familiar favorite. So today we had three generations of our family represented in our party. We had an excellent meal and Daisy was our excellent server.

We stopped in for a late dinner. I ordered a burger with fries and it was pretty good. My dad had oysters and fried green tomatoes. My mom had a fish option. Our server was friendly even though we were encroaching on closing time. The vibe inside the rail car is really neat! My daughter loved running up and down it.

I have not visited this place for a long time since I moved to Honolulu. They consistently offer great Gulf Coast oysters--fried, fresh, and more. The Gulf Coast oyster has a very different flavor compared to Kumamoto oysters; it doesn't have a strong taste of the ocean, making it a great choice for those who aren't fond of seafood. The service is friendly, and while the ambiance is nothing fancy, it has a casual diner feel.

Loved this restaurant. The food was good. Only complaint I had was that the spinach needed some more seasoning on it. It was very bland. Service was great and my son loved to see the train on the side of the restaurant. Ambiance was great with no complaints! Parking was plenty on a Sunday when we went.

Great date nights spot! I really like the modern yet old school feel to the boat!?!? I was obsessed with the building being boat like lol. The place was buzzing on a Friday night, we were lucky to get a table immediately as walk ins. The food was great and the oysters super fresh. I like that they have different selection of oysters not just gulf. Will definitely be returning to try more seafood

The service was excellent. We each ordered a featured cocktail and were pleased with the light, summery flavors. The portions were substantial from the house salad to the entrees. Two to-go boxes please!! No room for dessert. It's a little noisy, but the train car is a charming setting.
